9/11/14 Domestic Terrorism

You’ve heard it said that you have to admit the existence of a problem before you can fix the problem.

Well, check this out.

The unclassified version of the FBI’s National Threat Assessment for Domestic Extremism was just released.

It mentions several extremist groups that pose a domestic terrorism threat.  These include Puerto Rican nationalists. Black nationalists.  Animal rights supporters.  Environmentalists.  And both pro-abortion and pro-life organizations.

One group the FBI completely excluded from its report? Islamic extremists.

Apparently, the FBI never heard about Iyman Faris, the Pakistan-born American citizen who was collaborating with 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to collapse the Brooklyn Bridge.

Or Nidal Hasan, the Muslim who corresponded with terrorists overseas.  And then one day shouted “Allahu Akbar” – “God is great”  — before killing 13 at Fort Hood, Texas [here, here, here].

The FBI must also have overlooked the Tsarnaev brothers. Muslim extremists who were behind the Boston Marathon bombing.

The FBI is not alone in ignoring the threat posed by Islamic extremists.  A month ago, the Department of Homeland Security warned of a threat posed by domestic extremists.  DHS identifies this group of extremists as those holding an anti-government view or who support the Second Amendment.

It seems there isn’t a single government agency left that’s not run by activists or political correctness advocates.
