Repeal Obamacare and thousands will die.

Here’s what’s happening behind the headlines.

We’ve heard that claim far too many times. Let’s set the record straight. We have the greatest healthcare in the world. To suggest people are turned away from life-saving treatment over their ability to pay is just not true.

Health insurance – or who pays for service – is a different issue than healthcare.

Let’s flip the argument. Did Obamacare make us healthier? No, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. It reported life expectancy in the U.S. declined for the first time in nearly 25 years.   The overall death rate increased.  With Obamacare in place, more Americans are dying than ever before.

Now, this doesn’t mean Obamacare is killing people. But it does prove Obamacare isn’t making Americans healthier.

The world witnessed how powerful bureaucrats can be when Britain’s National Health Service initiated steps to block a family from spending private money to treat their ailing son.

But that couldn’t happen here, right?  In 2009, President Barack Obama told the daughter of an elderly woman she might be “better off” by not wasting money on medical treatment and instead giving her mother a pain pill.

Government-directed healthcare can be deadly.
